Whack-A-Mole
All we experience cannot be other than subjective. What we see, hear, feel etc is a reality filtered through a screen of fallible sense perception and preconception.
The written word, which has a potential for objective precision in the realm of science, in the philosophical domain becomes much more vulnerable to selective, subjective interpretation.
In particular, those conditioned in one of the Abrahamic religions are habituated to see and hear only that which they are predisposed to see and hear, and they ‘disregard the rest’
Therefore, I’m quite certain at least some who read the following will do so very selectively indeed.
I’m not at all interested in debating with those who, while clinging to dogma, suggest I have a closed mind, and those who, possessing little understanding of logic and reason, presumptuously deem mine flawed.
Attempting rational discourse with such individuals on an Internet forum is like playing Whack-A-Mole without the visceral satisfaction of bopping those little heads. [Read more →]
